How's $8000 for some stimulus?
The first-time homebuyer tax credit and other buyer benefits.Have you owned a home in the last three years? If not, lucky you. As part of the federal stimulus package, there is an $8,000 tax credit available to first-time homebuyers until November 30, 2009. And if you stay in your new home for three years, you don't have to pay it back. Yes, it's a good deal and you should learn more about it.
